preparing for birth and parenthood

Not only can pregnancy be physically demanding,  it can also be stressful, emotional, and a time of identity transition. Prenatal therapy offers support for pregnancy anxiety fear of childbirth or medical intervention, relationship challenges, and the many “what ifs” that can surface before birth Therapy can prepare you not for labor, but for the transformation into parenthood.

Support for postpartum

The postpartum period can feel overwhelming, isolating, and full of uncertainty. If you’re experiencing postpartum anxiety, depression, intrusive thoughts, or simply wondering “Is this normal?” — you’re not alone. Therapy provides a steady space to process identity shifts, reduce overwhelm, and rebuild confidence in yourself as a parent. You deserve support as you support your baby.

EMDR therapy for birth trauma

Perhaps your birth felt traumatic, chaotic, or was not what you expected. You may be experiencing grief, anxiety, or symptoms like a racing heart, flashbacks, or panic when you think about experience. Birth trauma therapy uses EMDR to help your nervous system reprocess distressing moments so they no longer feel overwhelming. You can remember your story without reliving it.

Couples Therapy

The transition to parenthood is one of the most profound shifts a relationship can experience. Sleep deprivation and shifting roles can leave even strong couples feeling disconnected or overwhelmed. Couples therapy offers a supportive space to slow conflict cycles, improve communication, rebuild intimacy, and address resentment.

Parents of Teens / young adults

When your loved one  is struggling with mental health symptoms, it can feel confusing, and deeply painful. You may find yourself walking on eggshells, questioning your role, or feeling torn between helping and setting limits. This is therapy for you as the parent or caregiver (not family therapy). A space to process your own emotions and gain practical coping tools.
